Sausage Rice Casserole

Ingredientes

  • 2 Packages chicken noodle soup mix
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 pound pork sausage patties
  • 4 c. minced celery
  • 1 minced green pepper
  • 1 lg. onion, minced
  • 1 c. quick rice
  • 1/2 c. sliced almonds
  • 1/2 c. mushrooms, canned

Direcciones

  1. Mix chicken noodle soup mix and boiling water together. Cook together 10 min; set aside to cold. Fry sausage till brown and break into pcs. Add in onion, celery, peppers and cook till clear (not mushy) over low heat, drain off excess grease.
  2. Combine soup and sausage mix. Add in 1 c. of rice (uncooked) and the mushrooms plus liquid and almonds. Moisten mix well with water. I use at least 2 c.. Put mix in a 9"x13" greased pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve warm.
