Savory Steak On Garlic Bread

Ingredientes

  • 1 med. clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 c. bourbon
  • 1/2 c. low salt soy sauce
  • 2 lbs. flank steak
  • 1 pound long loaf Italian bread
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1 lg. clove garlic, crushed

Direcciones

  1. In small glass measure, put together marinade ingredients. Place steak in shallow baking dish. Pour marinade over steak. Cover with plastic wrap. Let stand at room temperature 30 min.Meanwhile slice bread in 1/4 inch thick slices. In small bowl, put together butter and garlic, brush mix over cut side of bread. Arrange on baking sheet. Set aside.
  2. Drain steak, reserving marinade. Place on rack in broiler pan. Broil 6 inches from heat 5 min. Turn steak over. Broil 5 min longer. Place steak on carving board. Let stand 10 min.
  3. Meanwhile place marinade in small saucepan. Bring to boiling simmer 5 min. Brush steak with some hot marinade. Pour remainder into sauceboat.
  4. Broil garlic bread till golden brown, about 1 minute. Thinly slice steak across the grain. Serve with garlic bread. Pass sauce separately. If you like, garnish with parsley and cherry tomatoes. Makes 18 to 20 appetizer servings.
