Receta Sea Salt Ginger Wasabi Chocolate Chip Cookies
The serious damage I did to my pocketbook when I went shopping at World Market continues on in my series of exotic chocolates.
A luscious bar of Dark Chocolate. This one flavored with Mediterranean Sea Salt Ginger and Wasabi. Yes, you read that correctly. Oh the joy it brings to my lips as I let a teeny tiny piece melt in my mouth. Now I am telling you that I literally can’t wait to make some chocolate chip cookies featuring Ginger Wasabi.
Sea Salt Ginger Wasabi Chocolate Chip Cookies
Author: Marlene Baird
Serves: 30
- ⅔ cup Coconut oil, melted if hard
- ⅔ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
- 1¾ cups whole wheat flour
- ½ cup oat flour
- 1.6 ounces Mediterranean Sea Salt Ginger Wasabi Chocolate, coarsely chopped (about 5 squares)
- ⅓ cup 2% milk
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the oil, egg, vanilla extract in one bowl and mix with a spatula.
In a separate bowl combine the dry ingredients then pour into the wet ingredients.
Mix the two, once they start to combine, add the milk.
Form the cookies in your hand and lay on a cookie sheet, spacing evenly so they don’t expand and stick together.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Allow to cool before serving.

The impending outcome of these cookies is killing me as I beat my fingers on the kitchen table anxiously awaiting the timer to go off.
Oh how I want to taste these chocolate chip cookies.
Without a second thought, the minute they came out of the oven, I put one up to my mouth and literally almost burn my sweet lips. I managed to wait just long enough to let it cool before I took that first bite.
The result is just sweet enough, and the wasabi flavor is a subtle final note — not at all overpowering. The melted chocolate chips create the perfect “milk and cookie” childhood moment, but with an incredible aftertaste like no other.
Oh go on, give this recipe a try. If you can’t find this chocolate, substitute bittersweet chocolate, add a couple teaspoons ground ginger and wasabi sauce and viola’.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
