Ingredientes

  • 2 x ahi tuna steaks 1" thick - (6 ounce ea)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  •     Salt to taste
  • 2 x green onions minced
  • 1 x cucumber peeled, seeded,
  •     and sliced
  • 2 x red grapefruit peeled, sectioned,
  •     and diced
  • 2 Tbsp. minced cilantro
  • 1 sm Thai pepper seeded, chopped
  • 1 x garlic clove chopped
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil

Direcciones

  1. Rub all sides of tuna steaks with sesame oil and sprinkle with salt. Cover and let stand while preparing cucumber salsa.
  2. Combine onions, cucumber, grapefruit, cilantro, Thai pepper, garlic, lime juice, extra virgin olive oil and 1/2 tsp. salt. Let stand while grilling tuna.
  3. Grill tuna steaks over high heat in stove top grill pan or possibly on barbecue grill 5 min. Turn and cook till desired doneness, 2 to 5 min. Remove tuna to serving platter and serve Cucumber and Grapefruit salsa alongside.
  4. This recipe yields 2 servings.
