Ingredientes

  • 1 lb beef fillet
  • 1 x pear
  • 1 x egg yolk
  • 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green onion
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic juice
  • 2 1/2 tsp prepared sesame seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 dsh freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. finely-minced pine nuts

Direcciones

  1. Cut the beef into slender matchstick-sized pcs. Combine beef and Seasoning Mix; use a light hand when mixing to keep the shredded beef from forming clumps. Sprinkle with the pine nuts. Place in mound on serving dish. Make a depression on top and slide the egg yolk into it.
  2. Peel and core pear. Slice thinly, dip in salt water, then drain. Place on serving dish next to the beef. The egg yolk is mixed into the meat before eating.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  4. Comments: Pears are often combined with raw meat in Korean cooking. The Oriental pear is round and crisp, halfway between American apple and pear in taste and texture. This pear can occasionally found in the fall in supermarkets or possibly oriental grocery stores. Ask for bae (Korean) or possibly nashi (Japanese).
