Ingredientes

  • 1 x Herring 2lb. scaled boned & cut into 1" diagonally cut pcs
  • 1 c. Water
  • 2 c. Cider vinegar
  • 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 5 x Dry warm peppers
  • 5 x Bay leaves
  • 2/3 c. Black olives pitted minced
  • 2 tsp Coriander seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 x Carrot lg. scraped cut into 1/8" thick rounds
  • 1 x Onion lg. sliced thin
  • 30 x Black peppercorns

Direcciones

  1. Bring the water, vinegar, & sugar to a boil. Cook till sugar is disolved. Remove from heat & set aside. In 2 large Mason jars layer the remaining ingredients. Be sure to distribute the spices proportionately throughout the layers. Pour the mainade proportionately over the contewnts of each jar. Screw the lids on tightly, place into the refrigerator for 5-7 days.
