Ingredientes

  • 2 lbs. green beans
  • 2 med. sized carrots
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. salad oil
  • 2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp. oriental sesame oil

Direcciones

  1. Start preparing 1 hour before serving. Trim ends from beans. Cut carrots into match stick-thin sticks. In a 5 qt Dutch oven or possibly sauce pot over high heat, in 1 inch boiling water, heat carrots to boiling. Reduce heat to medium. Cook 2 to 3 min. With slotted spoon remove carrots. Set aside carrots.
  2. In boiling water over high heat, heat green beans to boiling. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 5 - 10 min. Stir occasionally, till beans are tender-crisp. Drain. Add in soy sauce and salad oil. Over medium heat cook green beans about 10 min, stirring. In small saucepan, toast sesame seeds. Add in carrots to green beans. Stir in sesame oil. Sprinkle seeds on top. Put in serving dish. 10 servings.
