Ingredientes

  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. butter, softened
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/3 c. molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell

Direcciones

  1. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. Using a pastry blender, work in butter till mix is the texture of coarse meal. In a separate bowl whisk Large eggs, corn syrup and molasses till well blended.
  2. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add in to egg mix. Sprinkle raisins in the pie shell and pour molasses mix into the shell. Top with 1/3 of sugar mix, sprinkling as proportionately as possible. Bake 25 min at 400 degrees.
  3. Filling will be soft but slightly crusty. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and bake another 5 min. Serves 8-10.
