Receta Shoo-Fly Pie
by Denise Sherin

Shoo-Fly Pie

This is probably the most well known amish pie. When we were small children our Grandfather used to take great pleasure in telling us that shoo-fly pie was made of actual flies! As we gasped in horror, he would wave his hand as if "shoo'ing a fly away" and say we got tired of shooing the flies away as the pie was cooling so we just put them in the pie!
It's great with whipped cream or ice cream. Hold the flies!
