Ingredientes

  • 1 (10 inch) pie shell
  • 1 pound med. shrimp, shelled and cleaned and cut into 1/2 inch pcs
  • 1/2 pound scallops
  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 1 T sherry
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 c. half and half
  • 3/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 T flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pound Swiss cheese, diced
  • 3 T butter

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. If using frzn shell, bake at 400 degrees for 5 min to prevent crust from becoming soggy. Cool.Saute shrimp, scallops and onion in 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp sherry till cooked. Set aside to cool. Drain.
  2. Make filling by beating large eggs with half and half, lowfat milk, flour, salt and nutmeg. Heat remaining butter and whisk into filling. Spoon seafood mix into crust and sprinkle with 3/4 of the Swiss cheese. Pour filling over cheese. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 15 min at 400 degrees then 40 min at 325 degrees till knife inserted in center comes out clean.
