Sicilian Style Sausage And Prawn Pasta

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 lb rigatoni, or possibly other short pasta (ziti is nice with this)
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 x onion, minced
  • 3 clv garlic, minced
  • 2 x tomato, minced
  • 1 x spicy Italian sausage, minced
  • 1 x red pepper, minced
  • 1/2 c. red wine
  • 8 x prawn, raw, peeled or possibly 2 x 7 ounce tins shrimp, liquid removed
  •     salt
  •     pepper
  • 1 handf parsley

Direcciones

  1. Put the pasta on to cook.
  2. Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat, add in the oil, then add in the sausages and cook for 2 min.
  3. Add in the minced onion and garlic to it. Cook for 2-3 min, till the onion starts to change colour.
  4. Add in the tomatoes, and cook for a further 3 min.
  5. Add in the minced pepper to the saucepan, cook it for 2 min, then add in the wine. Reduce the heat to low, cover and let the mix simmer for about 15 min.
  6. Stir the prawns into the sausage mix and cook for 2 min, or possibly till the prawns just turn pink.
  7. Drain the pasta. Season the sauce with salt and pepper and serve over the liquid removed pasta, sprinkled with parsley.
