Ok, seriously, is my baby boy already over 3 months old? What happened to my little newborn??
Simon is already 1 1/2 weeks past his 3 month birthday. He is wearing 6 month size clothes (still some 3 months, too) and has lost some of his hair. He is the sweetest little thing in the world! No kidding. He smiles and laughs like crazy! Happiest baby on this planet.
His eyes are still blue and getting bluer every day. I’m thinking he might keep them! Ben’s eyes are hazel, mine are dark brown. But, my grandmother’s eyes are blue, as well as Ben’s dad’s and both of Ben’s brothers’ eyes. I guess we knew it was possible, but never thought we’d actually have a blue-eyed baby (or light skin and blonde hair)!

%20and%20has%20lost%20some%20of%20his%20hair.%20%20%20%20He%20is%20the%20sweetest%20little%20thing%20in%20the%20world!%20%20No%20kidding.%20%20He%20smiles%20and%20laughs%20like%20crazy!%20Happiest%20baby%20on%20this%20planet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHis%20eyes%20are%20still%20blue%20and%20getting%20bluer%20every%20day.%20%20I%E2%80%99m%20thinking%20he%20might%20keep%20them!%20Ben%E2%80%99s%20eyes%20are%20hazel,%20mine%20are%20dark%20brown.%20%20But,%20my%20grandmother%E2%80%99s%20eyes%20are%20blue,%20as%20well%20as%20Ben%E2%80%99s%20dad%E2%80%99s%20and%20both%20of%20Ben%E2%80%99s%20brothers%E2%80%99%20eyes.%20%20I%20guess%20we%20knew%20it%20was%20possible,%20but%20never%20thought%20we%E2%80%99d%20actually%20have%20a%20blue-eyed%20baby%20(or%20light%20skin%20and%20blonde%20hair)!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERight%20after%20I%20wrote%20the%202-month%20update,%20Simon%20started%20sleeping%20through%20the%20night%20and%20not%20waking%20for%20a%20feeding%20at%20all!%20%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20believe%20I%20have%20a%20baby%20who%20started%20sleeping%20through%20the%20night%20at%20TWO%20months%20old!%20%20What-what!?%20%20He%20goes%20to%20be%20about%207:30%20PM%20and%20wakes%20around%207:00%20AM.%20%20But,%20he%20does%20wake%20up%20every%20once%20in%20a%20while%20and%20won%E2%80%99t%20go%20back%20to%20sleep%20until%20I%20put%20his%20pacifier%20in%20his%20mouth.%20%20Not%20fun.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENapping%20schedule%20is%20awesome,%20too.%20%20He%E2%80%99ll%20nap%20at%209:00%20AM%20for%20about%2045%20minutes%20to%201%201/2%20hours.%20%20Then,%20depending%20on%20when%20he%20wakes%20from%20this%20nap,%20he%20will%20nap%20again%20between%2012:30%20PM%20%E2%80%93%201:30%20PM%20and%20sleep%20for%202-3%20hours!%20%20He%20will%20then%20take%20a%20small%20cat-nap%20around%205:00%20PM%20before%20heading%20to%20bed%20at%207:30%20PM.%20%20It%E2%80%99s%20a%20great%20schedule%20that%20works%20well%20for%20me,%20because%20Judah%20has%20either%20%E2%80%9Cquiet%20time%E2%80%9D%20or%20nap%20time%20at%202:00%20PM,%20which%20means%20both%20kiddos%20are%20napping%20at%20the%20same%20time,%20giving%20me%20some%20ME%20time.%20%20(Realistically,%20that%20ME%20time%20=%20work%20time.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere%E2%80%99s%20something%20funny.%20%20When%20Judah%20was%20born,%20it%20was%20obvious%20right%20away%20that%20he%20has%20Ben%E2%80%99s%20fingers%20and%20toes.%20%20Simon,%20on%20the%20other%20hand,%20totally%20has%20Ben%E2%80%99s%20dad%E2%80%99s%20exact%20toes%20(which%20is%20also%20the%20same%20as%20his%20Uncle%20Clayton%E2%80%99s).%20%20I%20think%20it%20is%20so%20fun%20to%20compare%20these%20physical%20traits%20and%20see%20who%20my%20kids%20are%20taking%20after.%20%20Right%20now,%20Judah%20looks%20so%20much%20like%20my%20maternal%20grandfather.%20%20I%20should%20see%20if%20I%20can%20find%20a%20photo%20and%20post%20a%20side-by-side%20comparison%20for%20you%20to%20see.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEating%20Habits:%20%20We%20feed%20Simon%20a%206-8%20ounce%20bottle%20(typically%206oz)%20every%203-4%20hours.%20%20When%20he%20wakes%20up%20in%20the%20morning,%20he%20usually%20wants%20the%208%20ounces%20because%20he%20went%20so%20long%20during%20the%20night%20without%20a%20feeding.%20%20The%20rest%20of%20the%20day,%20though,%20he%20seems%20to%20be%20satisfied%20with%20just%206%20ounces.%20%20However,%20when%20he%E2%80%99s%20going%20through%20growth%20spurts,%20he%20demands%206%20%E2%80%93%208%20ounces%20every%202-3%20hours%20instead!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESimon%20started%20intentionally%20swatting%20at%20toys%20and%20is%20quite%20entertained%20by%20his%20baby%20activity%20gym.%20%20This%20is%20the%20one%20we%20have,%20and%20he%20loves%20it!%20%20The%20sun%20that%20lights%20up%20and%20plays%20music%20is%20the%20star%20of%20the%20set,%20but%20he%20also%20seems%20to%20like%20the%20other%20hanging%20toys%20and%20often%20stares%20and%20swats%20his%20hand%20at%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20are%20definitely%20in%20love%20with%20this%20baby.%20%20Judah%20continues%20to%20be%20proud%20of%20his%20little%20brother,%20too.%20%20I%20fear,%20though,%20that%20this%20time%20is%20going%20by%20way%20too%20quickly!%20%20How%20can%20I%20slow%20it%20down??%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrevious%20Simon%20Updates:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20Month%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20Months%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
