Receta Sindhi Style Dal Kichdi | Patri Kichreen
Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup Rice
- 3 Tbsp Moong Dahl
- 1/4 Cup Ghee
- 1 tsp Peppercorns
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Soak the dahl and rice for half an hour and keep it aside.
Pressure cook the dahl and rice with twice the quantity water for 7-8 whistle; until they turn mushy and smashed.
Once the pressure releases take of the lid and keep it on the stove again on medium flame.
Mix it well with a ladle by adding some warm water if it is very dried up until it becomes smooth and creamy.
Kichdi's consistency should not be thick. So keep adding water as and when required.
Heat 1 Tbsp ghee on a pan over medium flame. Once it is hot add the peppercorns and let it sizzle. Pour this over the kichdi.
Add some ghee on top of the kichdi in each serving bowl and then serve it.
