Receta Skillet Fried Apples
Skillet Fried Apples
Because of its many cultural influences the South has developed its own culture and cuisine. Skillet Fried Apples ranks high in the culinary ideas of our fore fathers.
Just like Fried Chicken, Grits and Buttermilk Biscuits, Skillet Fried Apples also has a loving place on the table.
If you have enjoyed this dish at Cracker Barrel then you know exactly what I am talking about.
If you have made this dish at home, then you know how easy and versatile it is. I doubled the recipe and enjoyed it on some cold Hagen Daz Ice Cream. The combination of cold vanilla ice cream and warm apple is sublime!
In the morning I enjoyed it on some homemade buttermilk biscuits.
I then used some leftover Italian bread and made a Caramel Apple Bread Pudding which I will share with you in another post.
Did I mention how versatile this dish is? Did I also mention it freezes well? Now that opens up to a whole new idea of things to make with it.
