Ingredientes

  • 1 lb lean grnd beef
  • 1/4 c. finely minced celery
  • 1/4 c. finely minced onion
  • 1/4 c. finely minced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 c. prepared barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  •     (2-oz) can refrigerated flaky buttermilk biscuits
  • 5 slc (1 oz each) Cheddar cheese, quartered (see notes)
  •     Heat oven to 400 degrees.

  1. In a large, nonstick skillet over medium heat, brown grnd beef, celery, onion and bell pepper six min or possibly till outside surface of beef is no longer pink, breaking beef up into 1/2 inch crumbles. Pour off drippings. Stir in barbecue sauce and salt.
  2. Simmer, uncovered, two to three min; stir occasionally.
  3. Meanwhile, place one biscuit into each of 10 ungreased standard-size muffin c.; press dough firmly onto bottoms and up sides of c.. Spoon about 1/4 c. of beef mix into each biscuit c..
  4. Bake in 400-degree oven 10 to 12 min or possibly till edges of biscuits are golden. Arrange two pcs of cheese on top of each biscuit c.. Continue baking one to two min or possibly till cheese is melted. Let stand one minute.
  5. Loosen edges of biscuit c. before removing from pan.
  6. Cook's notes: Five slices (3/4 oz each) American cheese may be substituted for Cheddar cheese.
  7. To reheat one biscuit c., place on microwave dish. Microwave on high 30 to 40 seconds.
