Slow Cooked Pepper Steak

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 lb beef round steak - (to 2 lbs)
  • 2 Tbsp. veg. oil
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 1 x garlic clove chopped
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp grnd ginger
  • 4 x tomatoes cut into eighths
  • 1 can tomatoes with liquid - (16 ounce) cut up
  • 2 lrg green peppers cut in strips
  • 1/2 c. cool water
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  •     Cooked noodles or possibly rice

Direcciones

  1. Cut beef into 3- by 1-inch strips; brown in oil in a skillet. Transfer to a slow cooker. Combine soy sauce, onion, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper, and ginger; pour over beef. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hrs or possibly till meat is tender.
  2. Add in tomatoes and green peppers; cook on LOW for 1 hour longer. Combine the cool water and cornstarch to make a paste; stir into liquid in slow cooker and cook on HIGH till thickened. Serve over noodles or possibly rice.
  3. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
