Receta Slow Cooker Beef and Noodles
by Karly Campbell | Buns In My Oven

So, quick question.

Does anyone else’s husband drive like a total and complete maniac?

I mean, I love my husband. But I also sometimes fear for my life when I’m in the passenger seat.

To be fair, the man has only ever been in one accident…and it wasn’t even his fault. I, on the other hand, have knocked more side mirrors off of more cars than I can count. And also backed into the garage. And backed into my husband’s car. And backed into my father-in-law’s car. And backed into my car with my husband’s car.

I should maybe not complain about his driving? Like ever?

It’s just that he is a very aggressive driver. He does not like people in front of him. He does not like to drive slowly. He does not like when people make poor decisions. He does not like when people brake, especially on the interstate. He does not like other drivers, basically.

So, there I am, just willing us to stay alive while gripping the side of the seat. If I reach my hand up for the dashboard, like you instinctively do when you think you’re about to rear end someone and possibly have your LIFE COME TO AN END, the husband gets very…sarcastic.

“Are you okay? Are you still alive? Do you need me to call you an ambulance?”

And he’s just joking when he says it, but one of these days, someone is going to need to call HIM an ambulance. Because I will punch him in the throat.

Ahhh. Tell me I’m not alone in this?

Anyway, I can not complain about my husband’s driving on the internet without also bringing along some sort of man food. This slow cooker beef and noodles recipe is super man pleasing. Kids love it too. So do moms. Basically, it’s total comfort food and you can’t go wrong.

I start with a big ol’ hunk of chuck roast. It’s one of my favorite cuts of meat for the slow cooker. It’s really simply seasoned with just Worcestershire sauce and seasoned salt. Easy peasy. Let that cook and smell up your house all day long. I know, it’s torture.

Then you’ll boil up some noodles to serve it with. I like the big papperdelle noodles, but any shape will work just fine here. Egg noodles would be good too!

We happen to like our meat extra seasoned, so I always add more seasoned salt and Worcestershire after tossing everything together. I’ll leave it up to you how much you add. I know some of y’all get a little irritated with me when I add a lot of salt to recipes. But, the truth is, I’m a total salt fiend. I can’t help myself. I was once interviewed and asked my favorite food. I answered salt. That’s a weird answer, but basically nothing tastes good without a bit of salt added to it. Right??

So, anyway, add more or don’t. You do you. But do go bust out the slow cooker and make this, k?
