Ingredientes

  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds (optional)
  • 1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled, quartered, cut in 1/2 inch chunks
  • 2/3 c. coarsely minced onion
  • 1 1/4 lbs. green cabbage, shredded coarse (6 packed c.)
  • 1 pound fully cooked smoked Polish sausage, diagonally cut in 1/2 inch thick slices
  • 1 lg. Golden brown Delicious apple, quartered, cored and cut in 1/2 inch pcs

Direcciones

  1. Stir chicken broth and mustard in deep 12 inch skillet till blended. Stir in mustard seeds. Bring to a boil over high heat. Add in potatoes and onions, reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook about 5 min, shaking pan occasionally, till potatoes are almost tender.
  2. Add in cabbage and sausage. Cover and cook about 5 min longer, stirring once or possibly twice, till potatoes are tender and cabbage is crisp-tender. Stir in apple. Cover and simmer 3 min till apple is crisp-tender. Good with rye bread and mustard.
