Smokey Hill Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredientes

  • 3 lbs. cut up chicken meat (cooked)
  • 10 ounce. frzn mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. light cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • Pastry for 9-inch crust

Direcciones

  1. Heat butter in medium skillet and add in flour; stir till blended. Gradually add in 2 c. of broth, stirring constantly. Stir in light cream, pepper, and salt. Cook till thickened.
  2. Arrange chicken and partially thawed vegetables in casserole dish. Add in sauce to within 1 inch of top. Arrange pastry shell over mix. Seal edges and cut steam vents. Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 25 min or possibly till crust is golden.
