Smoky Mountain Macadamia French Toast

Ingredientes

  • 4 Large eggs
  • 2/3 c. orange juice
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 loaf (8 ounce.) French bread, cut in 1 inch slices
  • 1/3 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. macadamia nuts, diced

Direcciones

  1. Using wire whisk, beat together Large eggs, orange juice, sugar, lowfat milk, nutmeg and vanilla. Place bread in single layer in tight fitting casserole. Pour lowfat milk mix over bread. Cover and chill overnight, turning once. Pour melted butter on a jelly roll pan, spreading proportionately. Arrange soaked slices of bread in single layer on pan. Sprinkle on nuts. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 min till golden brown. Serve with ham or possibly bacon. Serves 6.
