When I was a little girl, my mother was very protective.
Yes, she was protective of her children, but what she was really protective of was her kitchen. I kid you not.
Mom did not allow us to help her cook. We had the fun task of cleaning up. I did not let that stop me though. I think the fact that she would let me cook, made me want to learn even more. Mom is an excellent cook, uses no recipes or measuring utensils and lets her taste buds guide her.
She is quite adorable and when we go out to eat at a restaurant, she always orders whatever I order. She always makes sure the waiter knows how old she is. Fishing for the “Oh my, you don’t look like you are 86.
In honor of my mom, I decided that I would cook what I wanted. Because she always wants the same thing I want.
After all and I know mom will love it too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Mother’s Day!
