An old time, classic cookie~

Snickerdoodle Cookies are

a cookie like no other cookie~

Crisp on the outside,

tender and chewy on the inside.

Forming the dough into balls,

then rolling the balls in a mixture of cinnamon-sugar,

gives the cookies the classic taste and appearance,

we have all come to love.

Snickerdoodle Cookies

Directions:

Heat oven to 400º

In a large bowl, cream together 1 1/2 cups sugar, butter, shortening, eggs and vanilla.

In a medium bowl, mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture. Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls.

Mix together 1/4 cup sugar and the cinnamon. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place balls 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until cookies are set. Remove cookies from baking sheet to wire rack.
