Spiced Red Sangria

Ingredientes

  • 1 quart Water
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 4 x Cloves
  • 4 x Cinnamon sticks
  • 4 x Star anise
  • 1 x Vanilla pod split
  • 6 slc Fresh ginger thin slices
  • 2 bot Light red wine - (750 ml ea)
  •     (such as Beaujolais or possibly Cotes de Rhone)
  • 2 quart Freshly-squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 c. Freshly-squeezed lime juice
  •     Ice

Direcciones

  1. In a heavy medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, vanilla pod and ginger. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook 10 min. Turn off heat and let sit 30 min to infuse. Strain into large bowl. Add in wine and fruit juices and stir well. Serve in pitchers over lots of ice.
