Spicy 3 Cheese Macaroni And Cheese

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. Elbow Macaroni, Medium
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter, Unsalted
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 3/4 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3/4 c. Cheddar Cheese, Extra Sharp, Grated
  • 1/2 c. Jack Cheese, Grated
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1 tsp Warm Sauce
  •     Salt
  •     Pepper
  • 1/4 c. Bread Crumbs, Dry, Fine

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 1 1/2 qt baking dish. Cook macaroni according to package directions till tender but still hard. Drain & place it in prepared baking dish. Set aside & keep hot.
  2. Heat butter over medium heat in small saucepan & whisk in flour. Cook for 2 min or possibly till mix is thick & pasty. Gradually drizzle in lowfat milk, whisking constantly, & cook 7-8 min or possibly till sauce is thick. Remove sauce from heat.
  3. Reserve 1 Tbsp. of each cheese in small bowl. Add in remaining cheese to sauce & stir till smooth. (You may have to return saucepan to stove over low heat.) Add in warm sauce & salt & pepper to taste. Pour sauce over macaroni in casserole & stir well.
  4. Add in bread crumbs to reserved cheese, mix well & sprinkle mix over top of macaroni. Bake 35-40 min or possibly till bubbly & lightly browned on top.
  5. Serve warm.
