Receta Spicy Green Detox Soup
A smooth Green Spicy Soup that you will find pleasure in the lightness inside while you body gets all the goodness from the vegetables.
Spicy Green Detox Soup
- 5 cups water
- sea salt
- 4 celery stalks, chopped
- 5 ounces baby spinach
- 1 green or yellow bell pepper, chopped
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- 12 teaspoon ground cardamom
- ½ teaspoon of my 12 spice seasoning
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 2 mint leaves
- 2 whole garlic cloves
- optional ⅛ cup Greek yogurt mixed with ½ teaspoon milk
In a large stock pot boil the water with some sea salt.
When the water comes to a boil add the veggies and reduce the heat to medium high. Add the seasonings and simmer for 15 minutes until the veggies get soft.
Add the mint leaves and the two whole garlic cloves and remove from heat.
Let it rest for 2 minutes.
Using a slotted spoon, add the veggies to your blender and puree. If a bit thick add ⅛ of the stock water to the soup and mix again.
Pour into bowls and top with a bit of the Greek yogurt.

Oh my taste buds are so happy right now. So much deliciousness in one bowl.
But now that I think about it, I should have added some pepitas, or sunflower seeds to the top, even croutons. I mean why not. It’s 0 PP per serving.
This healthy soup is truly a taste sensation. Now if I can just remember to take the time to cook healthy instead of being lazy and grabbing what’s available in the cabinet, I will be just fine.
PS. The hubby wouldn’t eat it. It was too green for him. He said it reminded him of… well, I best not tell you.
