Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. almonds
  • 1 1/2 c. walnut halves
  • 1 c. hazelnuts
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1/2 c. maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced fresh oregano leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced fresh sage leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced fresh rosemary leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced fresh savory leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced fresh marjoram leaves
  • 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt - (about)

Direcciones

  1. Mix almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pecans, maple syrup, cayenne, oregano, sage, thyme, rosemary, savory, marjoram, and oil in a 10- by 15-inch rimmed pan. Sprinkle nuts with 1 tsp. salt.
  2. Bake in a 300 degree oven, stirring occasionally, till all liquid evaporates and nuts are golden brown under the skin (break open to test), about 45 min.
  3. Let cold. Taste and add in more salt if you like.
  4. This recipe yields 5 c.; 20 servings.
  5. Comments: In lieu of fresh herbs, use dry ones (1/2 tsp. of each). Store cold nuts airtight up to 3 days at room temperature or possibly 1 month in the freezer.
