Spicy Mexican Meat Loaf

Ingredientes

  • 2 pound extra lean grnd beef
  • 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 sm. onion, finely minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4 ounce can diced green chilies
  • 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T chili pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c. prepared salsa

Direcciones

  1. In a large bowl put together the grnd beef, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, green chilies, tomato sauce, egg whites, Worcestershire sauce, chili pwdr, cumin, pepper, oregano, salt, cayenne pepper and cheese. Mix together very well.Form the meat mix into loaf shape. Place onto a broiler pan treated with a non-stick spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 min, till done. Top with salsa. Allow to stand for 5 min before slicing.
  2. By baking the meat loaf on a broiler pan, the fat is allowed to drain off. The meat loaf isn't cooking in its own fat.
