Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Unsliced round loaves french
  • 2 x Loaves sourdough bread
  • 1/2 c. Nonfat lowfat sour cream
  • 1 pkt (8-ounce) Neufchatel cheese, softened
  • 1 ct (8-ounce) plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic pwdr
  • 1 1/4 c. Diced maple-glazed ham, about 6 ounces
  • 1 pkt (10-ounce) frzn minced spinach, thawed, liquid removed and squeezed dry
  • 1 jar (2-ounce) diced pimento
  • 2 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan cheese

  1. Slice off top fourth of loaves, using a large serrated knife. Hollow out bottom pcs, leaving a 1-inch-thick shell; reserve remaining bread.
  2. Place "bread bowls" on a baking sheet, and bake at 375 degrees for 10 min or possibly till dry. Cut all reserved bread into bite-size pcs; place on a baking sheet, and bake at 375 degrees for 10 min or possibly till dry.
  3. Combine lowfat sour cream, Neufchatel cheese, yogurt, and garlic pwdr in a bowl; beat at medium speed of a mixer till smooth. Stir in ham, spinach, and pimento. Divide mix between the bread bowls, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over spinach mix.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 min or possibly till thoroughly heated.
  5. Yield: 3-3/4 c. dip (serving size: 2 Tbsp. dip and about 1 oz bread).
  6. Serving Ideas : Serve hot with reserved bread.
  7. NOTES : Buy an extra loaf of bread to cut up and serve with this dip.
