Receta Staci's Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Blondies
by CookingLib

Did y'all know I have a baby brother?

He's a bit younger then me…10 years younger as a matter of fact.

The age difference between us made it difficult to relate to

one another as we were growing up.

I was in middle school and he was starting preschool.

I was in high school and he was starting elementary school.

He was only 16 when Husband Man and I tied the knot.

Crazy huh?

He is now a solider in the Army and has a

family of his own.

Which is crazy for me to digest because I have always known

him as my baby brother.

This dessert comes to us via his wife, Staci.

She gave this recipe to me last year.

Like most of the recipes people give me, it stayed in my

file for a long time.

She told me that it came from a co-worker of hers.

However, since I do not know this co-worker,

I've just deemed them as her recipe :)

I am glad I made these this week because now I know why

she loves them so much!

These are the perfect dessert to make if you are

wanting something

that resembles cake, but on a lighter scale.

If you are one of those people who like to dream about

fall during the spring/summer, then you

have to make this recipe!

These will make your fall dreams *almost* feel like they are

coming true. Almost ;)

Staci's Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Blondies

(serves 9-12)

Ingredients:

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

2. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl. Set aside.

3. In a mixing bowl, beat brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

4. Stir the flour mixture into the mixing bowl, making sure everything is well combined.

5. Spread evenly into the 9x13 inch baking dish.

6. In a small bowl, combine the topping ingredients (cinnamon and sugar).

7. Sprinkle the mix on top of the batter.

8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center and around the edges comes out clean. Let cool and serve.

**Libby's Notes: The batter will be super thick and that is ok. Don't let the thickness scare ya!**
