Ingredientes

  • 2 tsp Dijon-style mustard - (to 3)
  • 4 x cubed beef steaks - (to 6) pounded 1/4" thick
  •     (1 1/2 to 1 3/4 pounds total)
  • 1 pkt frzn minced spinach - (10 ounce) thawed, squeezed dry
  • 1 can French-fried onions - (2.8 ounce)
  • 3/4 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese - (3 ounce)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Coat a 9- by 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Spread 1/2 tsp. mustard over each cubed steak.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the spinach, onions, cheese, and salt. Spread the spinach mix proportionately over the tops of the steaks. Roll up each steak from the short end, tucking in the sides while rolling.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil, garlic pwdr, paprika, and pepper; mix well, then brush over the steak rolls.
  4. Place the steak rolls in the baking dish, and bake for 45 to 50 min, or possibly till no pink remains in the steak and the filling is warm. Cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices, and serve.
  5. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
  6. Comments: For a flavorful sauce, spoon hot spaghetti sauce over the steak rolls just before serving.
