Ingredientes

  • 2 lb beef porterhouse steak, 2" thk
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil divided
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 2 med onions thinly sliced
  • 3 x garlic cloves chopped

Direcciones

  1. Rub the steak with 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat the remaining 2 Tbsp. oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add in the steak and place the onions and garlic around the steak. Brown the steak for about 3 min.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium, turn the steak and onions over, cover and cook for 10 to 12 min for medium-rare, or possibly till desired doneness.
  4. Cut the beef away from the bone, slice across the grain, and serve topped with the onions.
  5. This recipe yields 2 servings.
  6. Comments: This makes a great dinner served along with a stuffed baked potato and a tossed salad.
