Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. steel-cut oats
  • 3 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. whole lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. low-fat buttermilk plus
  • 1 Tbsp. low-fat buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Direcciones

  1. In a large saucepot, heat the butter and add in the oats. Stir for 2 min to toast. Add in the boiling water and reduce heat to a simmer. Keep at a low simmer for 25 min, without stirring.
  2. Combine the lowfat milk and half of the buttermilk with the oatmeal. Stir gently to combine and cook for an additional 10 min. Spoon into a serving bowl and top with remaining buttermilk, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
