Ingredientes

  • 1 1/4 c. All-Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 c. Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 4 tsp Baking Pwdr
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 c. Buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter Melted
  • 3/4 c. Strawberry Jam

  1. Heat oven to 375F. Grease 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking pwdr, soda and salt in a large shallow bowl till mix is well blended; make a well in the center. In a large measuring c., whisk together the egg, buttermilk and melted butter. Pour buttermilk mix into well, and stir the ingredients together just till proportionately moistened; don't over mix; batter should be lumpy. Spoon batter into prepared baking pan, spreading proportionately into corners with rubber spatula. With a spoon, drop strawberry jam in dollops over the top of the batter, spacing them proportionately. Bake for 30 to 35 min or possibly till the top is lightly browned.
