Receta Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie
A healthy nutrient packed Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie to start the new year off on the right foot!
Alright peoples, it is officially January 2015 which means that all that delicious but so not good for you holiday food is done and its time to get serious about your health.
To detox from the holiday season!
I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’ve gained a pound or two in December so the new year means a fresh start, a clean slate, and new goals for 2015!
I am kinda sorta really badly addicted to coffee.
Every year in the beginning of the year our church does a 21 day fast with the rest of the churches in our area. Fasting doesn’t mean withhold from all food and just drink water, it can mean anything. You can fast from dessert, from technology, from sugar, from whatever you choose. Last year my husband and I decided to do the Paleo diet in the beginning of the year.
As I was thinking about some of the things I was going to have a hard time giving up. Immediately coffee came to mind. I love waking up in the morning, turning on my Nespresso and making a fresh homemade latte in the morning. Just makes me happy. SOooo for this years 21 day fast, I am giving up coffee! Eeek!
Instead of a warm coffee in the morning I am going for a healthy nutrient packed smoothie, hence todays recipe — Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie!
This smoothie recipe is packed with Vitamin C, Fiber, Potassium, antioxidants, all kinds of good stuff; plus it’s dairy and sugar free! Woot Woot!
What I love about this recipe is you can actually pre-make it. Just add all the ingredients (minus the liquid) to a ziplock bag throw it in the freezer and viola smoothies ready for you at a moments notice!
