.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20always%20make%20plans%20for%20freezing%20strawberry,but%20they%20remain%20what%20they%20are%20-just%20plans.%20This%20time%20more%20than%20baking/cooking%20I%20enjoyed%20berries%20as%20such,but%20one%20doomsday%20warning%20from%20Simran%20who%20has%20started%20freezing%20them,%20sort%20of%20pushed%20me%20into%20a%20strawberry%20overdrive%20and%20you%20can%20see%20few%20pink%20dishes%20here.%20This%20pannacotta%20which%20I%20tried%20with%20agar%20flakes%20is%20very%20lightly%20pink%20though.%20%20I%20had%20barely%203%20gms%20of%20%20agar%20flakes%20and%20I%20had%20to%20adjust%20the%20ingredients%20accordingly.Here's%20my%20version%20of%20strawberry%20pannacotta.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreparation:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWash%20the%20agar%20flakes%20and%20coarsely%20chop%20them%20and%20soak%20them%20for%20atleast%2015%20minutes%20in%20water.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPuree%20the%20strawberries%20with%20sugar%20and%20keep%20aside.You%20can%20use%20powdered%20sugar%20as%20well%20for%20pureeing%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%201/2%20cup%20of%20milk%20in%20a%20pan%20and%20add%20in%20the%20softened%20agar%20flakes%20squeezing%20out%20the%20water.Bring%20to%20a%20boil%20and%20then%20reduce%20to%20a%20simmer.Stir%20well%20and%20continue%20cooking%20till%20the%20agar%20flakes%20dissolve%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20will%20take%20about%2010%20minutes%20or%20more.But%20still%20some%20flakes%20may%20remain.%20So%20%20remove%20from%20heat%20and%20immediately%20strain%20the%20mixture%20to%20remove%20the%20remaining%20flakes.%20Keep%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20another%20pan,bring%20to%20boil%201/2%20cup%20cream%20and%20remaining%202%20tbsp%20of%20milk%20adding%20just%20enough%20sugar.%20You%20will%20be%20folding%20in%20the%20sweetened%20strawberry%20puree%20into%20this%20and%20so%20add%20sugar%20accordingly.Once%20boiled,remove%20the%20cream%20-milk-sugar%20mix%20from%20heat%20and%20mix%20in%20the%20agar%20mixture.Fold%20in%20about%202%20tbsp%20or%20more%20of%20the%20strawberry%20puree%20into%20this%20cream%20-agar%20mix.I%20went%20in%20for%202%20tbsp%20but%20mine%20turned%20just%20light%20pink%20only.So%20use%20more%20puree%20if%20you%20want%20a%20pink%20pannacotta.%20Pour%20into%20cups%20or%20lightly%20greased%20molds%20and%20let%20it%20cool%20for%20sometime%20after%20which%20chill%20in%20the%20fridge%20for%20atleast%202%20hours%20or%20overnight.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EActually%20agar%20sets%20in%20room%20temperature%20itself%20unlike%20the%20gelatin%20which%20takes%20atleast%202%20hours%20or%20more.%20But%20just%20to%20make%20sure%20it%20sets%20and%20since%20it%20is%20served%20as%20a%20cold%20dessert%20chill%20till%20dessert%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe%20topped%20with%20a%20layer%20of%20remaining%20strawberry%20coulis/puree%20and%20toasted%20nuts%20or%20chocolate%20shavings%20and%20more%20strawberries.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20actually%20got%20this%20idea%20of%20garnish%20and%20using%20remaining%20puree%20%20from%20Meeta's%20Pannacotta%20post.%20She%20is%20an%20excellent%20photographer%20as%20well%20as%20a%20divine%20cook.I%20have%20just%20used%20toasted%20walnuts%20and%20honey%20roasted%20almonds%20which%20I%20had%20with%20me.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOr%20you%20can%20unmold%20it%20and%20serve%20it.%20I%20had%20some%20strawberries%20that%20were%20sliced%20and%20tossed%20in%20sugar%20and%20sitting%20for%20sometime.%20So%20I%20unmolded%20the%20small%20bowl%20of%20pannacotta,and%20topped%20it%20with%20sliced%20berries%20and%20poured%20the%20strawberry%20juice%20collected%20in%20the%20dish%20as%20well.TG,%20it%20unmolded%20well%20but%20thanks%20to%20the%20heat%20was%20disintegrating%20fast.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
