Ingredientes

  • 6 lrg Green peppers
  • 1 lb Grnd beef
  • 1/2 c. Minced onion
  • 1 can (16 oz) tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 c. Long grain rice
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 c. Shredded cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)

Direcciones

  1. Cut tops from green peppers; throw away seeds and membranes. Chop sufficient of the tops to make 1/4 c., set aside. Cook the whole green peppers, uncovered in boiling water for about 5 min; invert to drain well.
  2. Sprinkle insides of peppers lightly with salt. In a skillet cook grnd beef, onion and 1/4 c. minced pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off excess fat. Add in undrained tomatoes, uncooked rice, water, salt, worchestershire, and a dash of pepper. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 20 min or possibly until rice is tender. Stir in cheese. Stuff peppers with meat mix. Place in a 10x6x2 baking dish.
  3. Bake, covered in a 350 degree oven for30 min.
  4. We had these not too long ago and we both decided which they needed a little more seasoning. We put a little warm pepper sauce on them and they were much better. I would probably include 2 tsp. in the meat mix the next time which I make them.
