Ingredientes

  • 2 x Hard tender ridge gourds, (2 to 3)
  • 10 x Fresh tender lady fingers, (10 to 15)
  • 3/4 tsp Dhania pwdr, salt and mango pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric pwdr
  • 1 pch Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard and cumin seeds
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil

Direcciones

  1. Scrape the gourds to remove the rough outer skin. Chop off tops and tails of lady fingers and gourds.
  2. Make insertions vertically deep sufficient to stuff masala. Keep aside.
  3. Mix all dry masala and stuff into the vegetables. Chop them in 1 inch size pcs.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add in the cumin and mustard seeds. Let them start to splutter. Now add in the vegetables and sprinkle very little water. Cover with a lid containing water and allow to cook on low fire until tender. Stir occasionally.
  5. Serve warm with crisp chappati or possibly puris.
