Ingredientes

  • 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 c. canned peach slices, liquid removed
  • 6 x maraschino cherries, halved
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp grated orange rind
  • 1/2 c. orange juice

Direcciones

  1. Spread butter in bottom of 8-inch round cake pan and sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange peaches and cherries on brown sugar. Cream the shortening and sugar in a bowl. Add in the egg and beat well. Sift the flour, baking pwdr and salt together and add in to creamed mix alternately with mix of orange rind and juice. Pour over peaches carefully. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 min or possibly till cake tests done. Cold for 10 min. Invert over serving plate and remove cake from cake pan.
