Sunday Supper Swiss Steak

Easy prep dish to serve over noodles, rice, or potatoes.

Ingredientes

  • 4 cubed steaks
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery,sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 14.5 oz. can stewed tomatoes, chopped
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • flour, salt and pepper
  • 2-3 tbs. oil
  • 1 tsp. beef bullion, opt.
  • 2 tbs. cold water
  • 1 tbs. cornstarch

Direcciones

  1. Saute the veggies in the oil, set aside
  2. Dredge the steaks in seasoned flour, fry in the skillet, adding more oil, if needed. Brown on both sides.
  3. Add the other ingredients, except water and cornstach, simmer, covered for an hour, or until tender.
  4. Stir cornstarch into the cold water, add to the gravy, stir and let cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Serve.
