,%20wandering%20around%20Prospect%20Park%20and%20seeing%20fresh%20signage%20for%20where%20and%20where%20NOT%20to%20barbecue,%20spending%20the%20weekend%20in%20Baltimore%20talking%20about%20grilling,%20and%20my%20regular%20access%20to%20do%20so%E2%80%A6%20There%20were%20a%20lot%20of%20triggers.%20But%20probably%20the%20final%20straw%20was%20Serif%20and%20Spice%E2%80%99s%20recipe%20for%20Buffalo%20Chicken%20Gorgonzola%20Burgers.%20I%20was%20already%20on%20the%20burger%20cliff,%20teetering%20carefully,%20and%20Michaela%20went%20ahead%20and%20pushed%20me%20right%20over%20the%20edge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20I%20love%20buffalo%20chicken%20as%20much%20as%20the%20next%20person,%20it%E2%80%99s%20the%20Gorgonzola%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20really%20connect%20with.%20I%20am%20a%20die-hard%20cheese%20lover,%20but%20somewhere,%20somehow%20my%20relationship%20with%20blue%20cheese%20never%20really%20developed.%20I%E2%80%99m%20still%20trying%20to%20find%20a%20blue%20cheese%20I%20can%20fall%20in%20love%20with.%20I%E2%80%99ve%20spent%20my%20share%20of%20time%20hanging%20out%20at%20Stinky%20Bklyn%20tasting%20their%20wide%20selection%20of%20blue%20cheese%20hater%20blue%20cheeses%20without%20much%20luck.%20So%20while%20that%20recipe%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20going%20to%20work%20for%20me,%20it%20in%20no%20way%20silenced%20my%20burger%20craving.%20So%20what%20do%20I%20do%20as%20a%20mature%20adult%20when%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20have%20something?%20I%20stomp%20around%20and%20throw%20a%20tantrum%20improvise.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20knew%20it%20would%20be%20a%20turkey%20burger.%20First%20because%20I%20prefer%20turkey%20burgers%20at%20home%20since%20I%20never%20seem%20to%20find%20out%20that%20measures%20up%20to%20my%20standards%20when%20dining%20out.%20But%20also%20because%20I%20was%20out%20of%20beef%20and%20grass-fed%20or%20humane%20meat%20is%20hard%20to%20come%20by%20in%20my%20neighborhood.%20So%20with%20no%20intention%20of%20hopping%20on%20a%20train%20to%20seek%20my%20meat%20elsewhere,%20turkey%20it%20was.%20From%20there%20I%20went%20with%20what%20I%20had%E2%80%93fresh%20mozzarella,%20sundried%20tomatoes,%20freshly%20foraged%20field%20garlic%20and%20the%20remains%20of%20last%20season%E2%80%99s%20pesto.%20From%20there%20it%20was%20easy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20bowl%20blend%20all%20ingredients%20together%20until%20well%20incorporated.%20You%20can%20start%20with%20a%20spatula,%20but%20I%20always%20end%20up%20hand%20mixing%20to%20really%20blend%20everything.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBrush%20a%20grill%20pan%20with%20olive%20oil%20and%20heat%20over%20medium%20high%20heat.%20Form%20turkey%20mix%20into%20patties%20and%20cook%20for%203-4%20minutes%20until%20browned.%20Flip%20burgers,%20reduce%20heat%20and%20cover,%20cooking%205%20minutes%20on%20second%20side.%20Top%20burgers%20with%20mozzarella%20cheese%20and%20cook,%20covered%20until%20cheese%20has%20melted,%20additional%202-3%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe%20on%20buns%20with%20favorite%20toppings%20such%20as%20extra%20pesto,%20tomato%20jam%20or%20simple%20lettuce%20and%20tomatoes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
