Supper Corn Chowder

Ingredientes

  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 c. whole kernel corn
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped cooked potatoes
  • 1 10 3/4 oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 t. dried thyme, crushed (optional)

Direcciones

  1. In large saucepan cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and reserve 1 T. drippings. Drain bacon on paper towels; crumble and set aside.
  2. Cook onion in reserved drippings until tender.
  3. Stir in milk, corn, potatoes, soup, thyme (if desired) and a dash of black pepper.
  4. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered for 2 min.
  5. Ladle into bowls; sprinkle bacon over each serving.
