Sushi Roll Deconstructed

I like sushi. Well, actually I only like certain kinds of sushi. I am a picky sushi eater. The hubby eats more variety of sushi than I do and that is not typical.

I also have been afraid to make my own sushi rolls at home. I just don’t have the finesse it takes to make the roll look so pretty. It’s why I don’t have many decorated cakes on my blog. Well, other than they are not so healthy, I just can’t decorate. Okay I can, but they are not that pretty. Pretty tasty, but that’s about it.

So I decided to deconstruct a sushi roll. The Princess Roll is what I order every time we go to Toyo, the Sushi restaurant we frequent.

This is so good. The only thing missing the soy paper they use. I have to tell you that I favor the soy paper over the nori any day.

Oh and I love to cook the sushi just a bit, instead of having it raw. My preference, but feel free to make yours using raw salmon.

I suggest you taste the sauce before you pour it over the rice to get it just right.

Now that I deconstructed my favorite sushi roll. just think of all the possibilities you can do with your favorite sushi roll.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
