Sweet and Simple: Snow-Flecked Brownies

Lets be honest. Have you ever met anyone who didn’t like brownies? I never have. In fact, when offering multiple choices of sweet options at home parties, picnics, etc., the first plate to empty is the brownie plate. This recipe was no different. In fact, this was one of the best brownies I’ve ever tasted. That may have something to do with the fact that there were no nuts in it. I prefer my brownies less nuts. It also probably had to do with the inclusion of white chocolate chips. White chocolate is a major dietary weakness for me. Right up there with caramel and toffee. Whoops! I just let the secret out. Now you know how sweet my sweet tooth REALLY is.

The recipe for December 1st is Snow Flecked Brownies. Maria and Rosie conspired in an attempt to make us all put on 10 pounds BEFORE the holidays. It’s so unfair. Shame on you two for finding this outrageously chocolaty, melt in your mouth version of a fall back sweet treat staple. 100 lashings with a wet noodle.

Get your pens and pencils, pad of paper ready, you will want to bake this delicious treat. Your popularity with friends and family will increase 10 fold.

Preheat the oven to 350F. In a large pot, over low heat, melt the chocolate and the butter. *The chocolate melted before my butter so I actually began mixing the two in with my egg and sugar before all the butter melted. Turned out GREAT!

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the granulated sugar and vanilla. Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture. Fold in the flour and salt. Stir in the white chocolate chips.

Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non stick spray and bake for 30 minutes. DEVINE!

I was able to cut 20 squares. I quickly took the photos… and then they were gone.

The baked brownies will have a few bubbles on top. They should not crack otherwise that will be over baking them.

I suggest a new name: Disappearing Chocolate Fudge Cake Brownies. That describes them to a tee!

Tell me you wouldn’t like to sink your sweet tooth into that baby?!
