Ingredientes

  • Mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, cabbage) - 1 cup
  • Tomato - 2
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Green chili - 1
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Coriander leaves - for garnish
  • Honey - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 3 cups
  • Oil - 1 tsp

Direcciones

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Next, add finely chopped onions, green chili, and curry leaves.
  3. Sauté well until the onion becomes transparent.
  4. Add 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
  5. After, add the chopped vegetables you like (carrot, beans, cauliflower) and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add a little turmeric powder to the vegetables and mix well.
  7. Now pour the Tomato puree and cook for 1 minute. Add 3 cups of water (or adjust the water to bring the soup consistency).
  8. Reduce heat and add black pepper powder and salt to taste.
  9. Saute the vegetables for 8-10 minutes or until cooked thoroughly.
  10. Once the vegetables have cooked, turn off the flame, add some coriander leaves, and mix 1 tbsp of honey to enhance the taste of the soup.
  11. Serve hot with bread or papads!
