Ingredientes

  • 1 pound fresh or possibly frzn shrimp
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 2 tbsp. catsup
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. dry sherry or possibly rice wine
  • 2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon grnd ginger
  • 1/2 c. sliced green onions
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. peanut oil or possibly veg. oil
  • Warm cooked rice (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Thaw shrimp, if frzn. Peel and devein shrimp; cut in half lengthwise. Set aside.
  2. In mixing bowl, stir together water, catsup, soy sauce, wine or possibly sherry, cornstarch, honey, red pepper, and grnd ginger, if using. Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet or possibly wok, stir-fry green onions, garlic and ginger, if using, in warm oil for 30 seconds.
  4. Add in shrimp. Stir-fry 2 to 3 min or possibly till shrimp turn pink; push to sides of skillet or possibly wok. Stir in catsup mix; stir into center of skillet. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 min more. Stir sauce and shrimp together.
  5. If you like, serve with warm cooked rice. Makes 4 servings.
