Receta Taco Salad in a Taco Bowl
Taco Salad in a Taco Bowl
I found these molds at a thrift store for .25 cents a piece. Who can pass that up! Not me:) I decided to use the molds to make Tortilla Salad in a Tortilla Bowl~
- 1-1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1- can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 2 t chili powder
- 1-can (14.5 oz) chopped tomatoes with green chilies
- 1-9 oz package saffron yellow rice, cooked according to package directions
- 4 oz Philadelphia cream cheese, spicy jalapeno
- 1-package large burrito size tortilla shells
- cooking spray
- 9 oz Classic Romaine lettuce
- 2 cups taco flavored shredded cheese
- Salad Dressing of your choice
Brown ground beef in a large skillet, drain off fat. Stir in drained and rinsed black beans, hot sauce, chili powder, diced tomatoes with green chilies and cook until bubbly. Stir in cream cheese and stir until combined. Spray tortilla bowl molds with cooking spray. Line bowl makers with tortilla shells. Place in a 350 degree oven and bake until crispy. 10-15 mins. Turn shells out onto a wire rack to cool. When ready to serve, place meat mixture in bottom of baked shells, top with lettuce and shredded cheese. Serve with dressing of your choice.
Note: You can serve these salad bowls with any of your favorite taco toppings~
