Ingredientes

  • 2 c. navy beans
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. minced onions
  • 4 x cloves garlic crushed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp dill
  •     Pepper
  • 5 Tbsp. dijon mustard
  • 5 Tbsp. black strap molasses
  • 3 1/2 c. tomato juice
  • 1 c. dark rum
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 x Carrots chopped
  • 3 stalk celery chopped
  • 1 x Green pepper chopped
  •     Lowfat sour cream

Direcciones

  1. Place beans in a large pot and cover with water.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Cover and reduce heat to medium.
  4. Cook till beans are tender about 2 hrs.
  5. Add in water if necessary.
  6. Drain cooked beans.
  7. Meanwhile heat butter in heavy pot.
  8. Add in onions, garlic and salt and saute/fry till onions are transparent.
  9. Add in remaining ingredients except beans vegetables and lowfat sour cream.
  10. Cover and simmer for 45 min.
  11. Combine beans, tomato juice mix and vegetables in casserole dish.
  12. Cover and bake at DGF-300 for 2 hrs.
  13. Top with lowfat sour cream.
