Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. hard tofu, (4 ounce.)
  • 2 Tbsp. tahini
  • 2 tsp tamari or possibly reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cider vinegar
  • 1 x scallion, minced
  •     (white and light green parts)
  • 1/3 c. minced red bell pepper
  • 1/3 c. minced refrigerated deli pickles

  2. A bit of sour pickle gives this spread its lively flavor. Use a good-quality brand of New York-style deli pickles, such as Claussen's or possibly Schorr's.
  3. Place tofu in medium bowl and mash with a fork. Fold in tahini, tamari and vinegar, then mix in remaining ingredients. Transfer to storage container and use within 3 or possibly 4 days.
