Receta Taquitos-Cacique Product Review
Taquitos-Cacique Product Review
This was such a hit at our house, that we may just move so I can build a kitchen with a deep fryer in the countertop! I’m not even kidding you, I made a double batch of this and we heated it up 3 days in a row and when it was gone, the boys were still screaming for more. I can get the Cacique Pork Chorizo locally and have been adding it to my taco meat for a few years, so this wasn’t a new product, just a new way to showcase the wonderful flavor of the Chorizo!
Taquitos
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 package Cacique Cotija
- 1 cup Cacique Crema Mexicana
- 12 flour or corn tortillas
- 1 pound ground beef-browned
- 1 package Cacique Pork Chorizo-browned and mixed with the ground beef
- Lettuce, finely chopped
- Black olives-sliced
DIRECTIONS:
In the microwave, heat tortillas until warm. Fill with the meat mixture and drizzle with Cacique Crema Mexicana. Roll up the tortilla and close with a toothpick. In a skillet, heat oil until hot and bubbly and then add the rolled up tortillas. Fry until nice and brown and the tortillas bubble a little. Serve over the lettuce and top with crumbled Cotija and black olives.
**Cotija is a flavorful artisan cheese with a robust and dry crumbly texture. If grated, it will have the consistency of a Parmesan cheese. Can be cubed and seared and used as a cheese crouton in soup and salad.
** Crema Mexicana is a fresh buttery Grade A table cream. It will not whip but is great poured over sweet and savory dishes or mixed with Chorizo.
anniebakes’ was given the Cacique products by the company to test and taste. All reviews, opinions and interpretations of the recipe are my own. thank you.
