Don’t go anywhere! You have landed onto a warm and cozy tantalizingly delicious dipping sauce. Some days you just need something that brings extreme contrast to your taste buds.

It’s a lot like life. Some days a sweet and some not so much.

My treat day isn’t always covered in chocolate. I could easily become addicted to this sauce. When it was cooling in the pot, I was secretly spooning out bits of it because, well, I needed to make sure it tasted good. But that first dip was all I really needed.

Stay tuned to read about my Oscar winning appetizers that were a perfect match with this dip.

½ cup rice vinegar ½ cup + 1 Tablespoon Splenda sugar Blend ¼ cup water 3 Tablespoons fish sauce 2 Tablespoons dry sherry 3 cloves garlic, roughly minced 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 11/2 Tablespoons arrowroot dissolved in 2 Tablespoons tap water

Place all ingredients - except the arrowroot-water mixture - in a sauce pan or pot. Bring to a rolling boil. Reduce heat to medium and let boil for 12 to 14 minutes, or until reduced by half. Reduce heat to low and add the arrowroot-water mixture. Stir to incorporate and continue stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens (about 2 minutes). Pour sauce into a small bowl or jar and serve as a condiment 2 Tablespoons per serving 3.2.2925
